- Pomona Pants by Anna Allen
Make your first pair of pants in this one-day intensive, designed especially for complete beginners who are ready to make their first garment. Everything you need for this project will be provided for you.
The Pomona Pants are an easy, pull-on style with an elasticated waistband, relaxed fit and practical patch pockets. They are a brilliant first sewing project, with simple construction and plenty of useful techniques you can carry into future makes.
During the day, you will learn how to take your measurements, choose the right size, lay out and cut your fabric, transfer pattern markings and sew the garment from beginning to end. We will cover attaching and topstitching the pockets, sewing the crotch and leg seams, constructing the elasticated waistband and finishing the hems.
You will also learn how to use a sewing machine confidently, keep your seams accurate and finish the inside of your garment neatly.
Size range: 00–22 (US)
If you would prefer to BYO fabric, then please send me an email to confirm it will be suitable for the workshop selected.
