The ties cross over the button stand at the waist and wrap around to tie at the back, creating a really beautiful and distinctive shape.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eAcross the three sessions, we will work through the Townsend Shirt from beginning to end. We’ll start by taking measurements, choosing your size, preparing the pattern and cutting your fabric, before moving into the full construction of the shirt.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eYou’ll learn how to work through more detailed shirt-making techniques, including constructing the button stand, sewing the wrap ties, finishing the neckline, setting up the collar, sewing buttonholes and attaching buttons.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe three-session format gives you time to work through each stage carefully, build confidence with garment construction and get a really polished finish.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis workshop is suitable for a confident beginner who wants to expand their skills or is perfect for an intermediate sewer. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eSize range: A-N (6-32)\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIf you would prefer to BYO fabric, please send me an email first so I can confirm it will be suitable for the workshop.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePlease note that workshop times are a guide and are based on the time usually needed to complete the garment. If you finish your project early, your workshop will finish then too.
